Wallyesk in a small format: Daysailer from France
The Ile de Noirmoutier produces a whole series of neat daysailers in small series. The latest is called Rosso 28 and is made of wood
The eight-and-a-half metre long boat is made using a moulded construction and weighs just 1.6 tonnes. In combination with the large sail area, this results in a powerful drive, as demonstrated during the test off La Rochelle. The boat also impresses with a very functional deck layout and good controllability at the tiller. The Rosso 28 is equipped to a high standard, is available with a swivel or fixed keel and can be highly customised. The boat is a thoroughbred day racer: a large cockpit and little interior space with seat height.
